MEET THE DESIGNER

Nigel Curtiss is an innovator and creator in design and custom tailoring, beginning his career as a textile designer in London providing his unique fabrics to renowned designers. He was recruited by Comme des Garcons and moved to Tokyo where he spent 8 years working directly with Rei Kawakubo on design and fabric research and developing the men’s collections.

Drawing from his extensive training and experiences, Nigel founded his own eponymous label in Tokyo which combined his edgy aesthetic of Japanese design with the refined tailoring and quality craftsmanship of Savile Row. Nigel Curtiss quickly became known as a prestigious, luxury high fashion brand with major fashion shows in Paris, Milan and New York.

Now based in New York City, Nigel utilizes his design and fashion expertise to craft custom clothing for private clients, attracting celebrities and discerning individuals from across the globe. With nearly 30 years of fashion design, pattern creation and sartorial technique, Nigel sets himself apart as a leader and expert within the fashion industry.

HOW IT WORKS

At Nigel Curtiss, we offer two options to create the luxury wardrobe you want:

Custom and Made-to-Order. All pieces are handmade in Italy from the finest materials and sustainably sourced.

CUSTOM

With our Custom option, collaborate directly with Nigel to design unique wardrobe pieces from hundreds of exquisite fabrics and styles.

MADE-TO-ORDER

With our Made-to-Order option, you can customize existing pieces in our collection by selecting the fabric, silhouette and size with guidance from Nigel.

HOW IT WORKS: CUSTOM

STEP 1: CONSULTATION

Begin your personalized style journey with Nigel Curtiss. During your complimentary consultation, Nigel will virtually meet with you or conduct the session by phone to delve into your fit preferences, styling choices, and wardrobe and lifestyle aspirations. Following this, an appointment will be set up for Nigel to personally measure you and collaborate with you on crafting your luxury wardrobe pieces.


STEP 2: FIRST FITTING

Nigel will meet with you in person at his atelier in New York City for your first fitting. Special arrangements can be made to meet in other locations or cities; he frequently visits LA, Chicago, and Miami. Nigel will personally measure you and consult with you on several wardrobe options. With hundreds of styles and fabric selections available, Nigel will use his expertise to design clothing uniquely tailored to you, guiding you through the process every step of the way. At the time of ordering, we will take a 50% deposit on the total order. Your order will be handcrafted in Italy and will arrive for a final fitting in 6-8 weeks.


STEP 3: FINAL FITTING

When your garments are ready to try on, Nigel will personally meet with you again for the final fitting to ensure a perfect fit. If alterations are needed, your garments will be tailored to perfection and then delivered to you promptly. Experience the personalized touch and meticulous attention to detail that defines our custom service reflecting the unique designs tailored expressly for you.

HOW IT WORKS: MADE-TO-ORDER

While all made-to-order items are accessible for purchase on our website, you also have the option to customize existing pieces by selecting the fabric and silhouette with Nigel's expert guidance. Enjoy a complimentary session with Nigel, either by video or phone, for a personalized consultation. During this session, he will delve into your style and wardrobe requirements. Together, you'll collaborate on determining the silhouette and size of the garment you wish to order. Special arrangements can be made to meet with Nigel in person for Made-to-Order purchases.
